First National Bank of Michigan is privately owned by investors who value commitment to a locally controlled bank that cultivates the health and security of the communities in which they work and live. The bank opened in downtown Kalamazoo in 2006, and expanded into Portage in 2008 and to the westside of Kalamazoo in 2010. In 2011, Dan Bitzer, President, led the expansion into the Grand Rapids market opening a bank in the downtown area. The growth continued in 2016 with the opening of a loan production in office in Holland and in 2017 with a second loan production office in Lansing. In 2018 the loan production office in Holland moved into the downtown area and opened as a full service bank.

We offer the full complement of retail banking services, home mortgages and personal loans, with a special emphasis on commercial banking. Supporting and advancing local businesses remains a top priority.
